Confidence in the 2017 horizon
“The ‘Agenda 2017’ survey that we conducted with a significant representation of companies from all over the Country shows us that entrepreneurs are regaining confidence in the future.”

The economic indexes in Brazil in the last three years have showed symptoms of a crisis that affected the performance and, often, the very survival of a large part of the companies. However, the most harmful factor to the business environment was not expressed in numbers, but subjectively: the trust of the decision-makers.
After all, there were reasons for that confidence to be shaken: the instability in the economic, political, institutional and regulatory frameworks; the insecurity of the credit institutions in a context of increasing delinquency, generating restrictions in access to capital; the many upheavals abroad; and even the technological innovations which, at the same time that are beneficial, also bring insecurity due to its disruptive nature.
Fortunately, however, we have reasons to see light at the end of the tunnel. “The ‘Agenda 2017’ survey that we conducted with a significant representation of companies from all over the Country and presented in this issue shows us that entrepreneurs are regaining confidence in the future.” This change in attitude usually represents the first step of a post-crisis climbing, which can lead us to a gradual resumption of the economy, a consistent recovery and, finally, the return of growth.
The first step in this journey is indeed to believe.
